Employees who are unable to work due to illness or pregnancy continue to be entitled to their salary for a certain period of time. Many employers take out collective daily sickness allowance insurance to cover the risk of continued salary payments and to offer better protection. However, increasing and longer absences from work, especially in connection with mental illness, increase costs.
The SIA opposes the introduction of a mandate for DSB.
