Urs Arb­ter

After completing a commercial banking apprenticeship, Urs Arbter earned his master’s degree in business administration from the University of St.Gallen and graduated from the Stanford Executive Program. Urs Arbter has been working for the insurance industry since 1998: After initial years at what is now Allianz Suisse (1998–2004), he was a member of the Swiss Life Executive Board (2004–2010) and a member of the Helsana Executive Board (2010–2015). After a good two years as a partner of the international strategy consultancy Roland Berger, Urs Arbter joined the Swiss Insurance Association SIA as Head of Insurance Policy and Regulation and Deputy Director. Urs Arbter has been Director of the SIA since January 1, 2022. He is married and the father of two adult children.
