Eu­rope's largest in­sur­ers

Switzer­land's fi­nan­cial mar­kets pol­i­cy is head­ing in the right di­rec­tion. How­ev­er, there is still a lot to do.

Swiss pri­vate in­sur­ers are ma­jor tax­pay­ers and, as such, make a sig­nif­i­cant con­tri­bu­tion to the coun­try's pulic sec­tor.

For a long time, banks reigned supreme in the Swiss fi­nan­cial cen­tre. This might be about to change, as in­sur­ers are get­ting on the fast track.
